Broome’s world-famous Cable Beach has been named the second best beach in the South Pacific in Trip Advisor’s 2022 awards.

It was only beaten out by Turquoise Bay in Exmouth which also took out the third spot for Trip Advisor’s 2022 best beaches in the world ranking.

WA has outshone the other States with four beaches making it on to the list, the others being Greens Pool in Denmark which finished fourth and Cape le Grande National Park in Esperance which took the eighth spot.

Premier Mark McGowan said WA’s beaches were special and some of the best in the world.

“We are so lucky to have such incredible natural wonders here in WA, for locals to enjoy and for our tourism industry to attract visitors from around the world.”

Emily Bay on Norfolk Island made the sixth spot and Mooloolaba Beach on the Sunshine Coast came seventh, rounding out the six Australian beaches that made it onto the top 10 list.
