State Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan could not resist an impromptu offer to tour Boulder in a supercharged tuk-tuk-style ride earlier today.

Ms MacTiernan was in town to announce State Government funding for two separate programs in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

But the minister kept patient guests and delegates waiting between announcements as she soaked up the sights of historic Burt Street from the back of a customised Harley-Davidson trike.

Someone in the minster’s entourage was overheard expressing concern that Ms MacTiernan was lost.

That was before she turned up just moments later with a cheerful grin and a thumbs-up for the camera.
