Barminco awarded $300 million underground mining contract at Ramelius Resources’ Dalgaranga gold mine

Perenti’s underground mining arm has been awarded a four-year underground contract worth $300 million at Ramelius Resources’ Dalgaranga gold mine in the Murchison. Perenti told the Australian Securities Exchange on Thursday the new contract followed the successful underground exploration decline at Dalgaranga that Barminco completed to progress in-fill and mineralisation extension drilling. The company said the decline would now be used to support production and further development. Perenti said Barminco would undertake underground development, production and related mining services, with $16m of growth capital required to do this in the current financial year, which had been included in recent guidance. Perenti managing director and chief executive Mark Norwell said the Dalgaranga contract was another strong result for Barminco. “Several recent regional contract wins have built additional scale for the Barminco Australia business (and) the Dalgaranga project will further support our Australian earnings and sustainable cash generation,” he said.
