After an impressive run of form at WAFL level, Hall featured as the substitute as the Eagles suffered a 34-point loss to the Blues, finishing with nine disposals after being activated in the third term. The 20-year-old, who had already played two games at AFL level this season, pressed his claims for a senior spot by accumulating at least 30 disposals in each of his last four appearances in the State league. He came into a midfield vacancy created by the absence of Hough, who was named in the Eagles’ initial squad for the clash but was withdrawn from the line-up the following day. The game was the first Hough had missed since 2023, having played all 23 games of West Coast’s 2024 campaign and each of their first 13 this year. The 22-year-old won the award for the club’s best defensive player last year but has been introduced to their inside midfield mix this season, where he has shown some impressive signs.
