Hay: 69-year-old man airlifted to hospital with critical injuries following serious crash in Great Southern

A 69-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital with critical injuries after a serious crash in the Great Southern.

Police said a dark grey Toyota Kluger was driving westbound on East River Road when it collided with a white Toyota Prado travelling north on Denmark-Mount Barker Road in Hay about 1.30pm on Tuesday.

The 69-year-old driver of the Prado was critically injured and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital on the RAC Rescue helicopter.

The passenger of Prado and the four occupants of the Kluger were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online here.
