Two men arrested after Tactical Response Group descend on Bullsbrook property after reports of gunfire
Two men have been arrested after the heavily armed Tactical Response Group descended on a Bullsbrook property after reports of gunfire last night.
TRG raided the Railway Parade home before 7pm on Friday after police set up road blocks around the home at the centre of the siege, locking down the area and preventing anyone from coming in or out.
Two men had arrived at the home earlier in the evening — sparking the siege.
A woman who lives at the residence told The West Australian they’d demanded a Holden Commodore parked on the property be returned to them, prompting an altercation between them and her two adult sons.
It is understood two of the four men involved in the argument then threatened the others with guns, with at least one of them then discharging a weapon about 6pm.
After storming the home, Midland detectives and TRG officers searched the home and located and seized two guns.
Two men in their 20s were also arrested, however, The West understands they have yet to assist police with their ongoing inquiries into the incident.
A police spokesperson said it was “believed all parties involved are known to each other”.
A witness who drove past a police cordon at Warbrook Road during the incident said he saw two men being taken away in the back of two paddy wagons about 8pm.
He claimed all police had their vehicle lights off in the lead-up to the siege, and that forensics were at the home in the aftermath.
Police officers stationed at the respective road blocks were seen checking cars in the area.
Investigations into the incident are continuing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online.
