Subiaco fire: Arson squad probing cause of blaze that caused ‘extensive damage’ to Bagot Road home

Arson squad detectives are investigating a fire at a home in Subiaco that caused extensive damage. Firefighters raced to the home on Bagot Road after police were alerted to the blaze about 1.30am on Tuesday. “The fire, which caused extensive damage to the house, was extinguished,” a police spokesman said. The arson squad has since descended on the home in an effort to determine what caused the fire. Investigators could be seen taking photos throughout the two-story brick residence as they combed through the damage. Wooden window frames on the top floor have been badly burnt and parts of the properties’ roof have been ruined. A for sale sign outside the home indicates that it is under offer. A property listing on Realestate.com.au describes the home as a six-bedroom, four-bathroom property that is “perfect for extended families or investors”.
