Geraldton man accused of sending obscene video to teenage girl via social media

A man who allegedly used social media to send an obscene video to a teenage girl will face court in WA’s Mid West today.

Police will allege that in December the 44-year-old Utakarra man began chatting online with a person he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

He is accused of sending the girl a video of himself committing an indecent act and having sexually explicit conversations with her.

Geraldton Detectives arrested the man on December 15 and charged him with exposing a person believed to be under 16 years to indecent matter and procuring a person believed to be under 16 years to engage in sexual activity.

He is due to face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court today.
