Charges laid over Brisbane CBD stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 52-year-old was stabbed in the neck in Brisbane.

Police said emergency services discovered the 52-year-old man with a "significant stab wound to his neck" in the Brisbane CBD after 3.30am on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Police said on Sunday afternoon the man was in a serious but stable condition.

A 21-year-old Brisbane man was charged with attempted murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

It is believed the men know each other.

The 21-year-old will appear in a Brisbane court on Monday.
