AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:

* There have been 39,386,849 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Thursday, including 92,808 in the previous 24 hours.

* Of the total, 23,417,445 have been administered by the Commonwealth, an increase of 64,663 on the previous 24 hours.

* 15,969,404 have been administered by the states and territories, including 28,145 in the previous 24 hours.

* 92.6 per cent of people 16 and over in Australia have received at least their first dose and 87.4 per cent are double-dosed.

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Australia reported 1720 new cases: 1419 in Victoria, 271 in NSW, 18 in South Australia, eight in the ACT, three in Queensland, and one in the Northern Territory.

* The national death toll is 2021: Victoria 1346 (+10), NSW 630, ACT 14, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7 and SA 4. (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 263,500,000.

* Deaths: at least 5,224,000.

* Vaccine doses administered: at least 8,036,968,000.
