WA Police are investigating a suspicious package allegedly containing death threats discovered at Senator Patrick Dodson’s Broome office today. Police were called to the Federal Labor MP’s Coghlan Street office about 2pm Friday alongside paramedics and firefighters. Dozens of workers from surrounding government offices were evacuated while emergency services removed the package. Mr Dodson’s office sits in a single-storey commercial complex on the edge of the airport runway which counts several other government bodies among its tenants and is across the road from a residential area. The Senator’s office was contacted for comment. Australian Federal Police said WA Police were handling the matter at this stage.
