A lengthy trip to Bidyadanga did not stop the Derby Tigers from showing dominance and cementing a spot in the finals.

The Tigers were the underdogs in their match against the Bidyadanga Emus on Saturday, tired from a 334km road trip and only sporting 16 players compared to the Emus’ 24.

However, with a lot of grit and determination, the Tigers were able to take home the win 6.8 (44) to 2.5 (17).

Elsewhere, Cable Beach took on the Looma Eagles at Haynes Oval.

It was an incredibly even match-up between the two teams with Looma the reigning premiers and Cable Beach the undefeated team.

In the end, it was Cable Beach that came out on top defeating the Looma Eagles 5.4 (34) to 3.5 (23).

This Saturday will see one last game for the KAMS WKFL Women’s League before the finals series commences.

The Bidyadanga Emus will take on the Saints at Father McMahon Oval to cap off the home and away season.
