A fired-up Terrance Cox last week helped his side to a 27-point mauling of the ladder-leading Roey Misfits.

Cox bagged 34 points and was at his menacing best against the undermanned Misfits from the outset, slotting three three-pointers in the opening term to set the course for the game.

He scored 11 of the Kings’ 13 first quarter points, and went on to amass another seven points to help his cellar-dwelling side to a commanding 30-14 lead at the main break.

As always Khan John proved a handful under the net too. The fleet-footed King scored 16 points for the night, all from inside the three-point line.

The game ended 61-37 in favour of the Kings.

The Misfits’ heavy loss relegates them to second behind the MP Boyz.

Results from the second game between the Pointers and BlackHawks, which will have an impact on the ladder, are yet to be published.
