Skywalkers defeat Broome Gators securing top spot ahead of finals
The Skywalkers had a dominant win in round five of the Broome Basketball Association’s spring season competition at the BRAC on November 23, securing top spot on the ladder ahead of the finals.
The Broome Gators who sit fifth on the ladder put up a solid fight against the Skywalkers but were ultimately defeated by the top of the ladder team, 62 to 36.
Kevin Mckenzie was the highest scorer for the Skywalkers, shooting 19 points, while William Tollner was the best scorer for the Broome Gators with 20.
Then the Kings took down the Gantheaume Pointers in an extremely competitive and heated match, 58 to 43.
James Hay-Hendry was the highest scorer for the Pointers with 14 while Daijon Puertollano scored 13 for the Kings.
The Bindoowa Bulls forfeited their match once again, adding an automatic 20 points and a win for Odash on the scoreboard.
Next week the Broome Basketball spring season enters the first finals round with the Skywalkers set to take on Odash and the Gantheaume Pointers getting a chance for redemption in a rematch against the Kings.
