A hard-fought contest that came down to the wire gave Set for Life their first win of the season, ending Freeballin’s winning streak.

In the round three match-up last Wednesday, it seemed both teams were still warming up as serves fell short to begin the match.

However, Freeballin managed to start building a lead after some wayward passes began costing Set for Life.

Although Set for Life tried to make a late comeback, Freeballin held strong to take the first set 25-22.

The second set had another even start as the teams matched each other point for point in the midst of improving rallies.

Despite Freeballin managing to build another narrow lead, Set for Life made a successful comeback, taking the lead late to win the second set 25-23.

Both teams put their bodies on the line in the final set in a bid to score the 2-1 win.

Set for Life were quick to build up a lead, although Freeballin managed to shake off the nerves to come back.

However, it seemed Set for Life were two steps ahead of Freeballin and walked away with the set 25-21, earning themselves the 2-1 victory.
