Runners of all ages enjoyed a Sunday morning run in sunny conditions during the 2019 BRAC 2 Beach Fun Run.

The event, which was held last Sunday, saw more than 100 competitors run, jog or walk between the Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre and Cable Beach.

Competitors were given the option of either the 4km or 8km route, with all rewarded with a medal and some well-earned fruit and water at the finish line.

In the 4km event, Ryley Smith was the winner of the junior boys with a time of 17:45.86, while Olivia Forster took out the junior girls in 19:19.94.

Adam Waddell, fresh off travelling from Bidyadanga to play for the Saints in the WKFL, was the open male winner of the 4km event, finishing with a time of 16:37.67, while Jude Millard was the open female winner with a time of 16:41.85.

In the 8km event, Travis Campbell and Calli Cook were the junior winners, finishing in 43:17.90 and 48:44.91 respectively.

Marco Morgado and Kirsten Mastrolembo were the open winners with times of 27:31.63 and 32:08.28 respectively.

The best-dressed team went to the Shire Trotters, who certainly stood out on the track with their colourful wristbands and headbands.
