Police halt search for missing Fitzroy Crossing man as body believed to be man, found along river

Police have paused the search for a missing Fitzroy Crossing man after a body, believed to be the man’s, was discovered by a helicopter pilot conducting a search along the Fitzroy River.

The 40-year-old man was last seen in Fitzroy Crossing on Friday, February 10, and hadn’t been in contact with family or friends since.

Police believe the body found is that of the missing man, however, are yet to formally identify the deceased.

The deceased’s family have been advised, with a report to be prepared for the coroner.
