Broome Police have charged a person with acts likely to endanger the health and safety of a person following an investigation into a serious assault near Broome’s Chinatown precinct.

It is alleged a fight occurred outside the Shell Petrol Station on Napier Terrace last Sunday night where a male was knocked unconscious.

It was also alleged the offender was observed kicking the unconscious male in the head.

“Such violence will not be tolerated,” Broome Police tweeted while announcing the charge.

More to come.
