Odash and Kings draw in round two of Broome spring basketball season

Forfeits, draws and disqualifications were all on the table in round two of the Broome Basketball Association’s spring season as the competition starts to heat up.

In the A-grade men’s competition, new team Odash drew with the old guard Kings after a heated match, 34 to 34.

The Broome Gators claimed a win against the Bindoowa Bulls, with the Bulls disqualified at the pointy end of the match, 31 to 0. The match was disqualified because one of the players was not properly registered under the team name.

The Gantheaume Pointers came off second best to the Skywalkers this round after upsetting the Kings last round, with the Skywalkers taking home the win by nine points, 33 to 24.

In the social men’s competition, the Spoonbills succumbed to the Vipers’ grip, losing the match by 13 points, 41 to 28.

The Misfits had a huge win over the Pearlers, nearly doubling the Pearlers’ score and taking home the win by a massive 40 points, 81 to 41.

In the social women’s competition, the Broome Blitzers just managed to claim the victory after a close and hard-fought match against the Sharks, 24 to 15.

The Greenback Beaches won against the Crystals after the Crystals forfeited the match, 20 to 0.
