Modified sedans return to thrill crowd at Broome Speedway Club’s second meet of 2024

The roar of engines filled the air as Broome speedway enthusiasts gathered for the second Broome Speedway Club meet of the year on Saturday. The anticipation was palpable, and the crowd was not disappointed as modified sedans return to the track with Rayburn Clifton, Jeff Steele and Ethan Dowell bringing their A-game to the track, setting the stage for an evening of adrenaline-fuelled action. In the modlites division, spectators were treated to a spectacle of skill and strategy as Dylan McLaughlin emerged victorious, showcasing his prowess on the circuit, followed by Robert Kirk and Mark Murray. In the junior category young talent Riley Smith made a remarkable transition from go karts to junior new stars contender. But it was Lincoln Hoath who took the win followed by Zac Webster and Brinley McGaffin Jr. The top stars junior division left fans speechless with their unmatched speed and precision with the Mills brothers, Sam and Ayden, crossing the finish line in first and second place respectively. They were followed by Alyssa Halliday in third and Tamia Dixon in fourth. The junior go karts provided their own brand of excitement, with Jake Taylor claiming first place followed by Scotty Taylor in second and Harry Sadler in third. In the wingless event newcomer Luke Priddis turned heads with his performance but it was Tim Taylor who claimed victory. The street stocks hit the track again with Jake Hoath taking the win followed by Brinley McGaffin Sr in second.
