Man dies after car rolls off road in Willare

A man in his 50’s has died after the car he was riding in rolled down an embankment off Great Northern Highway in Willare.

Major Crash investigators are calling on the public for information regarding the fatal crash that occurred in the early hours of Saturday March 21.

It was alleged around 4:20am, a beige-coloured Toyota Landcruiser was travelling north-west bound on Great Northern High near the one lane bridge at the Willare Roadhouse with five people on board.

The vehicle left the road and rolled down an embankment and the male passenger died at the scene.

The driver and two other passengers were taken to Derby Regional Hospital for treatment.

Anyone that may have dash-cam footage from the vicinity around the time of the crash or anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash is being advised to contact Crime Stoppers.
