Locals and tourists turned up in force at the Broome Turf Club, donning their most colourful frocks and shirts in another stellar instalment of the Broome race season.

In the feature race of the day, the Hard Rated Handicap, Ocean Outlaw swooped for a convincing victory, running the 1000m distance in 57.75 seconds, ridden slickly by Kyra Yuill for trainer Jody McLaughlin

Fire The Guard, ridden by Rosie Mahony and trained by Robert Gulberti, and Pacific Lady, ridden by Kate Pateman and trained by Darryn Pateman, dead‑heated for second, 2.7 lengths behind the winner.

The day offered top-tier racing, vibrant fashion and a festive crowd that showed why Broome races remain a Kimberley highlight.
