Kings knock Odash off top spot after dominant win against Gantheaume Pointers

The Kings have knocked Odash off the top spot on the ladder after a dominant win over the Gantheaume Pointers on March 29 as the competition enters into the second half of the season.
Under the Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre basketball court lights, the Kings took on the Gantheaume Pointers and quickly took control of the court to continue their winning streak, 55 to 36.
The Kings’ Trevor Menmuir was once again the top scorer for the match racking up 15 points.
Gene Eaton was the top scorer for the Gantheaume Pointers with nine points.
Then Odash recovered from their defeat to the Tigers in round six, taking on the Raiders and claiming the win in a dominant display of basketball prowess, 66 to 23.
Odash’s Mario Rex was the top scorer of the match on 16 points while Brendon Thomas was the top scorer for the Raiders with nine.
And in a nail-biter of a match the Skywalkers just managed to clinch the win from the hungry Tigers with the clash going down to the wire, 47 to 46.
The Skywalkers’ Bradley Hann was the top scorer for the match with 20 points.
In the women’s competition, the Paces more than doubled the Lady Bombers’ score to take home an easy win, 33 to 16.
The Pacers’ Rashidah Bin Rashid and Madeleine Gordon tied for top scorer of the match with eight points each. Merrinika Weedon was the top scorer for the Lady Bombers with 16.
Then the Sharks circled around the opponents, jumping in front of the Crystals in the last half to claim the victory, 37 to 25.
The Sharks’ Tara Hunter was the top scorer of the match with 18 points and Sara Skipworth was the top scorer for the Crystals on 11.
And the Raiders managed to emerged from a low-scoring and hard-fought match-up against On Call as the winners, 22 to 15.
The Raiders’ Simone Narkle was the top scorer of the match with eight points. Tegan Brooks was the top scorer for On Call with six.
In the men’s social division, the Misfits only just managed to secure the win from BBC in an evenly matched game, 48 to 43.
The Vipers put the Broome Gators in their stranglehold to dominate the court and bring home the win, 53 to 39.
And the Spoonbills defeated the Drifterz to take the top spot on the ladder, 63 to 44.
