Sitting against the backdrop of Broome’s iconic Cable Beach, one of WA’s most exclusive long-table dinners came back again to finalise the last celebrations of the Shinju Masturi festival. The Sunset Long Table Dinner - catered by local business Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co. - showcased an indulgent four-course menu curated by Masterchef fan-favourite Kahnh Ong and brought to life by WA chef Toby Howell and the Spinifex team. With dishes that incorporated local produce, including the Broome delicacy pearl meat, the meals were complimented by free-flowing beverages and a specialty cocktail list to match the cuisine Around 400 guests attended, with staff from Broome Senior High School putting their best foot forward to deliver the meals - some catered to specific dietary requirements - in a timely manner. Shinju Matsuri concluded its festivities on September 10 with the Lotterywest Finale at Town Beach. This grand event marked the official end of the 16-day festival, offering an evening filled with dazzling performances and delightful experiences. Families and friends gathered by Roebuck Bay, relishing a variety of tasty dishes from the Lotterywest Festival Finale Food Markets while bidding farewell to Sammy the Dragon for another year.
