In a contest with plenty of thrills and spills, the Freestylers have proven themselves as the superior team once again.

The table-toppers faced off against the Young Guns in the mixed floorball grand final on Monday, September 23.

The match-up was the culmination of an action-packed season, where Freestylers defeated Freeballin, 9-6, and Young Guns beat Pirates, 8-3, in the semi-finals.

Freestylers were in firing form from the outset, shutting down the Young Guns wherever they could and building a 3-0 lead at quarter time. The second quarter saw the contest change its dynamic as Young Guns stepped up the pressure to make an early comeback attempt.

While they managed to get themselves on the board, Free-stylers held on to their three-point advantage at half-time.

The final quarter saw a similar pattern as the Freestylers began to seal their win, although the Young Guns would once again try to match their opposition.

When all was said and done, it was the Freestylers who managed to pull off back-to-back premierships, defeating the Young Guns, 9-3.
