Elderly woman killed and man injured in fatal crash near Waterbank on Cape Leveque Road

Major Crash Investigation officers are seeking information regarding a fatal crash near Waterbank on Tuesday morning. At around 9:35am on Tuesday morning, a white Nissan Patrol heading south on Cape Leveque Road rolled after the vehicle left the carriageway. A 70-year-old female passenger died at the scene while the 71-year-old driver has taken to Broome Hospital by ambulance and was treated for minor injuries. Cape Leveque Road was closed yesterday as emergency services investigated and cleared the wreckage but is now back open.
