Cable Beach sitting pretty at top of Broome Netball league after another strong win

It was a disappointing game for Flames last week who suffered a single-point loss to the Broome Towns, losing their chance to move up the ladder. For spectators, it made for an exciting game, neck-and-neck until the final quarter. One point pushed Towns ahead, screaming through final buzzer with a final tally of 42 to 41. Broome Bulls had an unfortunate week, forced to Forfeit their games against the Pearlers Old Girls. This meant an automatic 10-point gift to the Pearlers, who could breathe easy this week knowing their No.2 spot remained uncontested. It was yet another definitive win for this season’s top team. Cable Beach have well and truly set their path to the grand final, beating the fast-approaching Bullets by a 12-point margin, 45 to 33. In division two, spectators saw some high-margin wins. Bullets Blacks came out on top against their own club Bullets Reds, 31 to 25. Another unfortunate forfeit saw Flames win an automatic 10 points from their games against Bulls White. Bulls Red lost by 13 points to Towns, 28 and 41, a disappointing but unsurprising outcome for two teams on opposite ends of the ladder. Saints Green dominated Cable Beach, 56 to 47, a fate emulated by their club again when Saints Gold beat Cable Beach Reds, 40 to 36.
