Cable Beach Club, Fitzroy River Lodge among Kimberley finalists for AHA WA Accommodation awards

The Australian Hotels Association WA has announced the finalists of the 2023 AHA Perth Airport Accommodation Awards for Excellence, with several Kimberley hotels making the list. The finalists from the region include Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa and Fitzroy River Lodge in several categories, highlighting the exceptional quality of the accommodation industry in WA. Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa and Fitzroy River Lodge are both nominated for the excellence in workplace culture award and the WA’s best regional accommodation hotel award. Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is also a finalist in the accommodation hotel wine list award and the accommodation hotel restaurant award, while Fitzroy River Lodge is a finalist for the hotel management team of the year award and the mid-range accommodation award. Additionally, Georgie Speer from Fitzroy River Lodge has been named a finalist for the hotel administration, finance & executive support award. AHA WA chief executive Bradley Woods said there was fierce competition across all award categories, demonstrating the strength of WA’s accommodation sector. “It is fantastic to be able to recognise WA’s leading hotels and their extraordinary staff through WA’s most prestigious accommodation awards program,” he said. “For the first time in four years, these awards can be celebrated without the pandemic casting a cloud over the industry.” The winners of the 2023 AHA Perth Airport Accommodation Hotel Awards for Excellence will be revealed at the Devil’s Lair Gala Ball, which will take place at Crown Perth on April 3.
