Broome detectives are appealing to the public for information on a suspicious incident on Louis Street last Tuesday evening.

It was reported a man and woman were seen arguing before the woman was pushed into a vehicle and driven away.

The vehicle was described as a older model blue dual cab ute, possibly a Toyota Hilux or similar, with a distinctive black front passenger door, which looked like it had come from another vehicle.

The woman had an olive/dark complexion with blonde hair, and was wearing blue faded jeans and a black crop top.

The man was described as tall with a dark complexion, large build and a top knot or bun hairstyle.

Broome Detectives officer in charge Senior Sergeant John Hartley said anyone who saw the incident or knows of the vehicle should contact police immediately.

“It could possibly be an abduction or kidnapping, even though there has been no missing persons report filed,” he said.

“Without the report we’d suspect a domestic violence incident, but either way we want anyone involved or who witnessed it to get in contact so we can investigate what happened and make sure everyone is ok,” he said.

“Anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV of the incident is also asked to contact Broome detectives.”

The incident was seen by onlookers, who reported it to police.
