Broome Junior Basketball Carnival Winners

Broome Basketball Association has wrapped up its highly anticipated annual junior carnival.
Over October 7 and 8, the event delivered a showcase of talent, teamwork and community spirit with a huge turnout of players and spectators.
In the under-11 boys, the Broome Cyclones won 14-9 against the Beagle Bay Pacers.
The under-13 boys was won 28-16 by the All Stars against the Beagle Bay Pacers.
The under-13 Budulah Girls claimed victory against the Magics, winning a thriller 22-21.
In the under-15 categories, the Slammers triumphed in the boys’ division against the Lil Midlagoons 35-20, while The Mystics dominated against the Budulah Girls.
The under-18 boys title went to the Budulah Boys, who beat the Raptors 27-20.
The under-18 girls title went to Headland Basketball, who triumphed over the Budulah Girls 16-15.
Broome Basketball Association president Eunice Yu said it was a great turnout for the event and wonderful for the community to come together to celebrate the players and sport.
“It’s a big basketball week in the second week of the school holidays every year. It was lovely to see so many girls participating this year at the carnival. Everyone played so well, a huge success,” she said.
