Broome foodies rush to Matt Moran dinner tickets as Shinjuri Matsuri goes on sale

A celebrity chef is bringing a unique and highly anticipated dining experience to this year’s Shinju Matsuri Festival, with tickets to the new event selling out within a few hours. The exciting new addition will see Australian culinary star Matt Moran cook up a storm at Roebuck Bay for a “Jetty Dining” experience like no other. Guests will have the chance to dine at a long table set up at Broome’s Town Beach at twilight. The event will allow diners to indulge in a unique tasting experience, with the menu featuring fresh local produce, including delicious pearl meat, mud crab, Moontide Gin and Matso’s beer. Shinju Matsuri president Lynne Bunny said the dining experience promised to “delight and surprise” guests. “For the 200 people lucky enough to secure their tickets, the event will provide an opportunity to experience the unique setting of Roebuck Bay like never before,” she said. A country boy at heart, Moran has 30 years of experience in the food industry, with a passion for contemporary Australian cuisine and a love of the land. Moran said he planned to bring his own personality to the event and spoil guests with local ingredients. “I am so excited to be involved in Shinju Matsuri and it’s an honour to come and host the new Jetty Dining event,” he said. “Broome and the Kimberley region are stunning places to visit and I can’t wait to return to the warm weather and watch the sunset at Cable Beach.” The new event will add to the growing number of quality food events taking place during the Shinju Matsuri festival, including the Sunset Long Table Dinner, Paspaley Floating Lantern VIP experience and the Chinatown Feast. With the $245 tickets to the Jetty Dining experience selling out within a matter of hours, event organisers are also expecting the entire festival to be a sell-out.
