Cable Beach Football Club kept their undefeated streak intact with a 15-point win over the Saints on Friday.

In round 8 of the competition, the Cable Beach v Saints game was the only match that took place after unforeseen circumstances saw the match-up between the Derby Tigers and the Looma Eagles postponed.

Disaster struck at the six-minute mark for the Saints when Angel Hill was stretchered off the field with a dislocated knee.

While it took some time for the Saints to recover, they were able to keep the margin close at quarter-time.

It was clear Cable Beach were not going to show any mercyas they began to break away.

The Saints were unable to convert, wasting valuable points and Cable Beach won 6.6 (42) to 4.3 (27).

Cable Beach will look to keep their undefeated streak going when they travel to Bidyadanga to take on the Emus while the Saints will face the Peninsula Bombers this Saturday.

The Looma Eagles and the Derby Tigers will look to make up for their postponed match during the weekend.
