Australian workers have faced widespread challenges as Microsoft Teams experienced an outage across the Asia-Pacific region on Friday morning.
Downdetector reported outage reports for the platform just before 10.30am AEST, with complaints peaking at 11.09am.
More than 7000 reports were made over that time period.
Many Australians were left unable to join meetings, call and accept any incoming calls on the platform.
“Had a dozen or so people trying to join a call, various experiences seemed like some of us were connecting into an empty call, some weren’t able to join in any way,” an affected Australian posted on Reddit.
The company acknowledged the issues and said it was investigating.
“We’re investigating an issue causing impact to joining or creating Microsoft Teams meetings or calls for users in the Asia-Pacific region,” Microsoft Teams said on X.
