The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind for the Federal Government.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has broken his silence on reports Defence Minister Linda Reynolds called alleged rape victim Brittany Higgins a “lying cow”, a slur Ms Reynolds has not denied she made.

The PM has also weighed in on Attorney-General Christian Porter’s emotional address to the nation yesterday, during which he categorically rejected claims he raped an unnamed woman in 1988.

More ministers and public figures are speaking out on the allegations that have sent shock waves across the nation in what has become one of Parliament’s darkest days in history.
