Only three yachts sailed in heat three as the showers and a strong westerly in Princess Royal Harbour put a few off.

Stephen Brown in Mary Maitland and Stephen Lee in Flasheart made up the division two fleet.

Jessie James was the only division one boat but was forced to retire with a sick crew member.

Brown and Lee battled it out in the gusty wind which saw Brown being successful by winning on corrected time by 41sec.

Lee was second and fastest in another fine performance from these two most consistent competitors.

Sailing in heat four of the winter series will be conducted on June 8.
