Hundreds took the chance to enjoy the festivities and racing action of the Wellington and Reeves Albany Community Cup day on Easter Sunday.

A strong crowd built-up during the afternoon to witness the running of the $100,000 feature race, taken out by husband and wife combination Brandon and Lucy Fiore with rising galloper Filthy Habits.

There was plenty of action off the track as well, with the crowd lapping up the boot-throwing contest for both children and adults.

The kids were also involved in an egg and spoon race out on the track.

Albany Racing Club’s major sponsor Wellington and Reeves, with directors Barry Panizza and Kathleen Mier, were on hand to help with all the fun while newly elected Albany MLA Scott Leary was also track side.
