Chilling footage has emerged of a great white shark swimming out the back of Bondi Beach - 10 days after a mum was mauled at a nearby beach.
Drone Shark App posted the footage to social media on Tuesday, warning people salmon were gathering along the iconic beach when the shark emerged soon after.
“At first, I wasn’t completely certain, but I was about 90 per cent sure it was a white shark,” the post stated.
“After reviewing the 4K footage, that identification was confirmed.
“The lifeguards did a great job responding quickly and sounding the alarm to help keep everyone safe.”
The shark was filmed 10 days after Sydney mum Leah Stewart was attacked at Coogee Beach suffering catastrophic injuries.
Her family issued a statement on Monday saying she remained hospitalised in a critical but stable condition after having her arm amputated.
“There is a long road ahead for her and her family,” the statement read.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by her brother, Joshua Stewart, has raised more than $487,000.
The primary school teacher and devoted mum continues to be treated at St Vincent’s Hospital, having undergone “extensive surgery”.
