Bathurst home allegedly used to make bombs, three men charged: Cops

More charges have been laid against two men after police allegedly uncovered a bomb making lab at a home near Bathurst.

Firearms, a clandestine lab, chemicals and items used to make bombs were allegedly found during a six-day search at a property on Rockley St in Perthville, about 216km west of Sydney.

The home was first raided last week, where two men were arrested and charged them with several offences.

A 46-year-old man was charged with not keeping a prohibited firearm safely and possessing, supplying or making explosives for an unlawful purpose.

An 80-year old man was charged with failing to keep a firearm-not pistol safely/prohibited firearm and was later granted bail.

A 49-year-old man was arrested at a home on Hollis Lane in Perthville on May 22, two days after the Rockley St home was raided.

He was charged with possessing a digital blueprint for manufacturing firearms.

On Tuesday, police charged the 46-year-old man with 13 more offences related to manufacturing bombs.

He was refused bail at his last court appearance is due to face the Bathurst Local Court again on June 10.

The 49-year-old man also faces additional charges including importing prohibited tier two goos without approval and manufacturing firearms without a licence.

He was also refused bail and is due to face the Bathurst Local Court again on June 2.
