Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi will return to Perth later this year after he was announced as the headliner of summer music festival Spilt Milk alongside London’s singing sensation Raye.

The international stars will perform at the popular festival, which kicks off in Canberra on December 12 before heading to the Gold Coast on December 13 and Geelong on December 19.

It will wrap up at Perth’s Claremont Showground on December 20.

Capaldi fans will be itching to see their idol perform his greatest hits such as Someone You Loved, Before You Go and Bruises after he was last in Perth in December 2025 for a sold-out show at RAC Arena.

The 29-year-old’s Aussie appearance is sure to be a special one for the artist and his fans following his open struggles with mental health and Tourette’s.

In 2022, he publicly revealed that he had been diagnosed with Tourette’s, a condition that causes involuntary tics and muscle spasms.

The pressure of touring and anxiety surrounding his condition culminated in an emotional performance at the 2023 Glastonbury Festival.

While visibly struggling with vocal tics, his supportive fans stepped in and sang Someone You Loved for him. Capaldi later cancelled all his upcoming tours and took a hiatus from music.

In 2025, he returned to the music scene and Glastonbury to finish what he started, delivering an emotional and well-received set with his comeback single Survive.

Headlining Spilt Milk alongside Capaldi is South London’s four-time Grammy-nominated singer Raye, who will be armed with hits from her second album, which features viral song Where Is My Husband?

The lineup also includes Galway’s Kettama, Baby Keem, who just released his second album featuring Kendrick Lamar, rising UK singer Maisie Peters and Remi Wolf who is known for fan favourite anthem Photo ID.

Sydney trio DMA’s return to Spilt Milk for the first time since performing at its very first edition in 2016, South Australia’s indie pop princess Aleksiah is set to bring her catchy love tunes, while Becca Hatch will provide the club vibes.

Other stand-out musicians set to hit the festival stage include Persian-American artist Leyla Ebrahimi, “Blak Britney Spears” Miss Kaninna, The Moving Stills, The Terrys and Yes Boone.

Despite a range of huge global and Aussie acts rounding out the line-up, not all music fans were happy with the choice, saying the anticipation wasn’t worth the wait.

Thousands of people took to Instagram with divided opinions, one person saying “Wait, this is the most random lineup ever” while another said, “This looks f...ing awesome”.

“How’d we go from last year’s beautiful lineup to whatever this is?” a third added.

Last year, Spilt Milk brought Kendrick Lamar and Doechii to our shores who both put on epic performances.

The massive acts came after the festival did not go ahead in 2024 and no reason was given for the cancellation.

However, in November a spin-off event of the festival called Spilt Milk House Party entertained hundreds of music lovers at Kings Park.

Troye Sivan and Glass Animals headlined while other acts like G Flip, Sycco and Artemas performed during the afternoon.
