Perth’s Kings Park will host a 90s and 2000s rock feast early next year as enduring American bands and a couple of Aussie favourites play LOOKOUT music festival.

Held on March 4, the outdoor event will be co-headlined by alternative rock act +LIVE+, along with Grammy-winning heavyweights Stone Temple Pilots.

The tourists will be supported by long-time Australian festival powerhouses The Living End, with Victorian group Magic Dirt to round out the bill.

Best known for 90s rock classics Lightning Crashes, I Alone, and All Over You, +LIVE+ have sold 23 million albums worldwide, and in 2019 celebrated their debut album Throwing Copper with a deluxe 25th anniversary live album and global festival tour.

Their previous national tour took place in March 2024, with the band telling fans on social media they were “excited to announce a NEW show” with their alternative rock colleagues.

The nostalgia train continues with the guitar-loving Stone Temple Pilots, who burst onto the alternative rock scene in 1992 with their breakthrough album Core.

STP won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance with their early single Plush, and more recently, released studio album Perdida in 2020 with new lead singer Jeff Gutt.

Worthy stage supports The Living End have been playing Aussie festivals for decades, perhaps best known for punk rock anthems Prisoner of Society and White Noise.

The local performers released their first album in eight years in 2025 with I Only Trust Rock n Roll, declaring they’re firing up the rock machine once again and are not slowing down.

Meanwhile, the magical surrounds of Kings Park & Botanic Garden will be thrilled by Geelong exports Magic Dirt, fronted by female musician and founding member Adalita.

LOOKOUT will travel around Australia throughout March, playing cities and regional towns, though Perth appears the only location set to host The Living End instead of 4 Non Blondes.

Other live concerts taking place at the picturesque WA venue this summer season include 5 Seconds of Summer, Jack Johnson, The Fray, Angus & Julia Stone, Jimmy Barnes, and several others.
