Keith Urban cancels South Carolina concert due to laryngitis after Nicole Kidman divorce

Keith Urban has been forced to cancel his South Carolina concert due to a concerning health issue which comes after his divorce from Nicole Kidman shocked the world.
The 57-year-old New Zealand-born rocker is on his High and Alive World Tour and on Thursday was due to take the stage at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.
However, his US fans were left disappointed but concerned after he was forced to cancel due to suffering from a bout of laryngitis — a type of inflammation that affects the voice box.
Urban said in a statement that he was “so sorry” he had to cancel the show.
“Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show... I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days, and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU, for granted.
“I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”

A statement shared on the arena’s website said his doctor recommended the cancellation to protect his voice and has been placed on vocal rest.
“Keith Urban has been advised by his longtime laryngologist, Dr Gaelyn Garrett, from the Vanderbilt Voice Centre, to cancel his performance in Greenville, SC, tonight at Bon Secours Wellness Arena due to laryngitis, which began earlier this week,” the statement read.
Ticketholders will be issued refunds.
Urban is set to play a Nashville show on Friday, which hasn’t been cancelled yet, and tickets are still available.
It comes after TMZ last month broke the tragic news of his and Kidman’s divorce following 19 years of marriage, but they had already been living separately.
The day after the news made headlines, the Babygirl star officially filed for divorce.
The papers, which have been obtained by several publications, cited the reason for their split as “irreconcilable differences”.
Despite his personal life breaking down, Urban has continued to perform several concerts but left fans guessing after he changed the lyrics to multiple songs.
While performing at his concert in Virginia on October 4, he changed the lyrics in his 2003 breakup ballad You’ll Think of Me from “You’ll think of me,” to “But I betcha think about me!”
However, many fans have said the change in lyrics is common for Urban.
“This is not a new part of the song. Been a fan for over 20 years now. He plays this version at the end of this song every time live,” one person said on social media.
He also changed the lyrics of his song The Fighter, which was inspired by Kidman.
When playing the song with singer Maggie Baugh on September 25 in Chicago, instead of singing the original lyrics of “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter,” Urban sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
The change set off rumours about 25-year-old Baugh and Urban’s relationship, but neither have addressed the gossip.
