More than 80 venues across Perth’s CBD will be taking part in this year’s Plateful Perth festival, with a month-long program of dining experiences, special offers and accommodation packages set to run throughout August.

Now in its fourth year, the City of Perth festival features 90 food, drink and hospitality experiences that showcase the city’s restaurants, bars, hotels and chefs.

The program includes four categories — Bargain Bites, Premium Plates, Sip Sessions and Gourmet Getaways — that aim to cater for a wide range of tastes and budgets.

City of Perth deputy Lord Mayor David Goncalves said the festival provided an opportunity for venues to showcase their culinary offerings while attracting residents and visitors into the city.

“We are delighted to see Plateful Perth return for its fourth year,” he said.

“With a variety of exclusive offers and one-off experiences that aren’t normally on the menu, the city is the place to be this August.

“With Bargain Bites, Premium Plates, Sip Sessions and the return of our popular Gourmet Getaways, the festival has something to tempt everyone.

“Whether you visit during the day or come to enjoy a night out, the city is the premier destination for dining, lifestyle and leisure throughout August.”

The Bargain Bites program is offering 20 food and drink deals from $15, aimed at city workers, students and visitors looking for affordable dining options.

Italian food lovers can enjoy a four-coursed dinner at Garum, where chefs Guy Grossi and Paolo Apuzzo will pair regional dishes with wines and storytelling inspired by a traditional Italian dining experience.

Margaret River winery Vasse Felix will partner with Samuels on Mill for a Winter Wine Series event, featuring a three-course menu matched with wines from one of WA’s most well-known wineries.

The festival will run from August 1 to 31.
