Dynamic completes deep-dive diamond drilling at WA gold project

Dynamic Metals has gone deeper at its Cognac West gold prospect, wrapping up a targeted four-hole, 1400-metre diamond drilling campaign in the beating heart of WA’s Goldfields region. The findings could prove pivotal in unlocking the true scale of its emerging gold-copper system.
The program, which was designed to zero in on high-priority targets beneath earlier gold hits, delivered pristine oriented core, refined structural models and confirmed tantalising gold and copper potential at depth.
Set in one of WA’s most storied and sought-after belts, the company’s tenements are flanked by established producers and multi-million-ounce deposits in a prospector’s paradise that has dazzled explorers since 1892.
The four diamond drill holes were plunged into two of Cognac West’s priority targets, Anomaly A and Anomaly B, which were previously picked up in recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling and historic exploration dating back to the 1970’s, including soil sampling and shallow drilling.
The new holes probed extensions of mineralisation associated with the Republican Thrust and secondary splays, hunting for laterally continuous high-grade shoots and to test the true depth and scale of the gold-rich system.
Previous reverse circulation drilling in 2025 delivered impressive results, including 8m at 2.78 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 4m at 5.04g/t. Broader halos, such as 44m at 0.33g/t and 24m at 0.33g/t, completed the picture.
The earlier assays also returned interesting sniffs of copper, adding a polymetallic twist and hinting at a potentially sizeable system. Whilst the diamond drilling assays are still pending, the geos are no doubt buzzing at the potential for bigger, deeper and more lucrative discoveries.
Assays are the eagerly awaited next chapter in this high-stakes exploration drama.
The diamond drilling program at Cognac West has been designed to test depth extensions and provide invaluable geological intelligence to refine targeting and guide future exploration.
Cognac West is emerging as a structurally sophisticated, vein-rich, and alteration-laden marvel. Felsic intrusions intersect splays and shear zones, creating a perfect plumbing system for gold deposition. The diamond cores should therefore offer Dynamic an unprecedented window into structural geometry, vein orientation and alteration styles, and provide a geological insight into the richest zones.
The Widgiemooltha project itself is one of Western Australia’s most prolific gold patches, sandwiched between Kambalda and Norseman, where strong gold anomalies, high-grade rock chips and $175,000 in government co-funding have supercharged its exploration campaign.
With drills now silent and cores cut, all eyes will likely turn to the pending assays. If the results come up trumps, Cognac West could be poised for its next chapter, potentially defining a discovery that could make its mark on WA’s gold map.
Dynamic Metals - bold, brash, and brimming with potential - is primed and ready to keep the Widgiemooltha excitement rolling.
