Bryce Cotton is closing in on a historic third straight MVP award after being confirmed among the three finalists by the NBL.

Cotton joins Sydney’s Jaylen Adams and Melbourne’s Jo Lual-Acuil on the podium for the prestigious prize.

The Perth Wildcats star is eyeing a fourth MVP win overall and a third consecutive nod. He would match the exploits of the league’s greatest-ever player, Andrew Gaze, with the latter.

Cotton leads the league in scoring at 22.4 points per game, but faces tough competition from Adams and Lual-Acuil after the pair led their respective teams into the top two.
