“When the community went into lockdown, we immediately went into planning for worst case scenarios to be well prepared for when the restrictions would ease, ultimately resulting in the season delayed by just one month.

“It is also terrific teams can now take advantage of the Gold Netball Centre re-opening and we look forward to seeing them train on these indoor courts in the coming weeks.”

West Coast Fever coach Stacey Marinkovich confirmed no players in her Super Netball squad would be released to play in the WA league.

It is understood the Super Netball commission is eyeing an August return to the national competition, less than a month after the WANL seasons resumes, which is likely to overlap with Fever’s pre-season.

The WANL fixtures are set to be released next month, with Netball WA and the clubs still working on them.
