WATCH LIVE: Federal Cabinet minister Christian Porter speaks on rape accusation

Attorney-General Christian Porter, the Morrison Government minister accused of a historical rape claim, will hold a press conference at 12pm today.

Mr Porter is expected to declare his innocence and take questions from journalists at the press conference.

It follows Prime Minister Scott Morrison this week saying his Minister strenuously denied the allegation.

The man is accused of raping a woman in 1988 in Sydney.

NSW police yesterday said they would not be pursuing the allegation because there was “insufficient admissible evidence”.
