SWFL 2022: Harvey Bulls keen on building momentum away from home ahead of match-up against Collie Eagles

After three weeks of home games at Harvey Oval, the Harvey Bulls will be looking to continue building momentum when they hit the road to Collie.

The Bulls are set to go head to head with the Collie Eagles at the Collie Recreation Ground on Sunday in round 13 of the 2022 SWFL season.

It comes after the Bulls pulled off another upset victory, defeating the Eaton Boomers 16.4 (100) to 7.13 (55) at home last weekend thanks to an eight-goal haul from Brad Holmes and strong efforts by the likes of Jarrod Bowman, Aaron Jovanovic and Lloyd Beever.

Although Harvey are seventh on the ladder with a 4-6 record, the Bulls are starting to make their presence known with the SWFL finals on the horizon.

Meanwhile, the Collie Eagles are continuing to chase their first win of the season and hopefully snap a 10-round losing streak.

The Eagles came close to breaking that losing streak out at VC Mitchell Park last weekend, when they led throughout the first half of their match-up against Donnybrook.

However, they were unable to ward off the Dons’ comeback effort during the second half and ultimately fell short 14.7 (91) to 9.5 (59).

It was the second time the Eagles came close to recording their first win, after they were edged out by the Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault Lions by just two points in round 10.

During the last meeting between the Eagles and the Bulls back in round two, Harvey held off a determined Collie outfit to take the win 13.9 (87) to 11.4 (70) in front of a home crowd at Harvey Oval.

However, the last time they met at Collie Recreation Ground in round two last year, the Eagles won 13.7 (85) to 7.8 (50).
