Police are calling for help as they try to solve the mystery of a man who has been in hospital for over a month without anybody identifying him.

The man was hit by a train in Brunswick between Royal Park and Jewell railway stations on Thursday, 7 July, 2022.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and over a month later remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police say in that time nobody has come to visit the man or report his disappearance.

Due to the extent of the man’s injuries, police released a facial composite image in the hope someone may recognise him.

He is described as caucasian, about 175cm tall and of medium build. He has a prominent mole below his left eye, no identifying scars and no tattoos.

At the time of the incident in July the man was wearing black runners with white soles, black socks and a black belt.

He had no phone, wallet or cards on him at the time of the incident.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
