Militant vegan Tash Peterson has been swiftly booted from the Royal Show after trying to disrupt a livestock contest.

The serial pest, who has targeted high-end stores, supermarkets and restaurants in the past, was unceremoniously turfed out by stewards at the Claremont Showgrounds after climbing through a fence and into a cattle judging ring on Tuesday.

In a video posted to social media, Peterson, 26, could be seen holding up a sign in the middle of the ring in full view of confused families, yelling: “These gentle and innocent beings are going to be brutally murdered and shot in the head. They’re just as gentle and loving as beloved dogs and cats.”

But she was quickly rounded up and ushered out.

Along with the video, Peterson posted a statement in which she said the Royal Show was a “brainwashing and propaganda event run by animal agriculture Western Australia.”

On Tuesday night, the Royal Agricultural Society of WA said Peterson had potentially put herself, the crowd and the animals in danger.

“We have trained stewards within the ring who are caring for the safety of our volunteers, our members and the safety of the animals in the ring,” it said in a statement.

“RASWA is an apolitical organisation who respects that there are many views on multiple topics and respects the right for individuals to protest.

“However, when an individual places themselves in a position where they are not safe, are creating a potentially unsafe situation for others and for the animals, it is our duty of care to intervene swiftly.

“The person in question was removed from the ring as quickly as possible to minimise any potential threat to her own, and others safety.

“We live in a democratic society and there are ways in which to voice an opinion.

“Placing many people in harm’s way, including your own, is not a safe route.”

Peterson has previously vowed to continue to carry out similar stunts in a bid to end what she says is an “animal Holocaust” and is willing to go to prison for the cause.

She made the comments after she appeared in Perth Magistrates Court earlier this month where she pleaded not guilty to behaving in a disorderly manner in relation to an incident on August 21.

Peterson, from Bicton, allegedly entered the Louis Vuitton store in Raine Square dressed only in a pink g-string, covered in what she says was her period blood, and carrying a sign emblazoned with the words: “If you’re not vegan you’re an animal abuser.”
