A racist sign erected outside a home behind Kalgoorlie’s basketball stadium just off Hannan Street has been flagged with authorities.

The modified no entry sign on the fence of 28 Park Street was reported to the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder one week ago and is yet to be removed.

City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder chief executive John Walker said the City’s officers were investigating the situation.

A passer-by who alerted the City to the sign told the Kalgoorlie Miner the message was “quite upsetting”.

“Sometimes you forget about racism but then reminders like this brings it back to reality,” she said.
